About Pilates

The Pilates Method was developed by Joseph Pilates in the 1900s. This form of exercise uses the mind to control muscles in the body and focuses on the muscles more important than keeping your body balanced.

Since Pilates was created, has become one of the favorite exercise systems in the United States, with more than 11 million use it on a regular basis.
There are many principles of the Pilates system. While exact principles can discuss the general perception is that the principles are as follows: breathing, centering, concentration, control and accuracy. Breathing is a very important part of the Pilates system. The concentration is another important principle of Pilates. Pilates demands a lot of attention. Since control of your breathing to control his limbs, the concentration is vital to the success of a Pilates workout.
All the Pilates system is built on the idea of control. The control of muscles is essential for properly to enjoy a true Pilates workout. The action of the muscles must be carefully calculated and controlled. By doing so, you will decrease the risk personal injury and therefore enjoy a better workout. Finally, the accuracy is another important part of the Pilates system. In order not to waste energy the body, the movement must be controlled and precise.
The idea of Pilates is to make precise movements and perfect rather than imperfect movements that waste energy and time. That being a basic summary of the Pilates way of life.
