Fitness Swiss Ball

So much is said nowadays about working with an exercise ball that you may have wondered what the fuss is about.
Originally created for use in physical therapy, exercise ball, better known as the Swiss ball is a large, inflated rubber ball about 25-35 inches in diameter. In the past, the exercise ball was used by physical therapists to help rehabilitate their patients, especially those with low back pain.
Today The exercise ball is a common tool in many fitness programs. One reason for this is, like Pilates, using the exercise ball helps to realize trunk muscles in the center of the body. Formation of the core body not only gives strength to the limbs and trunk, but also keeps the body flexible, balanced and provides support for the spine.
The effectiveness of using an exercise ball for core conditioning is due to the round shape that creates instability for the body. This in turn makes the muscles inside your body to react to the instability caused by the ball. Over time, your body can improve strength and flexibility of muscles as you begin to intuitively rely on core muscles for balance.
Using an exercise ball as part of a fitness program can include a wide range of levels of difficulty from easy to moderate to difficult - Each level requires the support of the muscles of the base.
If you've ever wanted to give the exercise ball a try, here are some routines to get started:
1) Squat and Lift
Stand with your feet apart while holding the exercise ball into his hands with both hands on each side of the ball.
Bend your knees (as if you're going to sit) so that you are squatting slightly as the ball down in front of you.
Slowly straighten your legs to a standing position while lifting the ball up shoulders.
Once you have completely straightened, slowly lift the ball over his head and then slowly lower to shoulder level again.
Repeat 10 to 15 times.
2) Extension of hip
Lie on your back on the floor with your heels on the exercise ball.
Slowly lift your hips off the floor as you squeeze your buttocks and tighten the abdominal muscles.
Continue to lift your body off the floor until your body is in a straight line.
Hold for few seconds and lower.
Repeat 10 to 15 times.
Lunges 3)
Place the exercise ball on the floor and standing with his back towards him.
Stand with feet together and hands on hips, place one foot on the ball behind you.
Slowly bend the front knee, making sure your knee does not pass the toes.
Try to keep your back straight - do not lean forward while bends.
Repeat 10 to 15 times.
These exercises are just the beginning. There are exercises you can do so in the exercise ball you never get bored. You can also develop their own routines that you find useful. Be sure, however, first heat for 5-10 minutes before starting. Used correctly, the exercise ball increases strength and flexibility of your core muscles with regular use. No matter what your fitness level is, give the fitness ball to try. You will be surprised at how fun it can be.
