Gym balls have been known by many different names, Swiss Ball, Exercise Ball, Fitness Ball, stability ball, Ball balance and many others, but they are really the same thing.

Therefore, are just another gimmicky gadget brought to market for us to lose our money? Â The answer is a resounding NO! It's not really new but have been around since 1963 when first used in treatment programs for newborn and infants. They then moved on to be used Physical Therapy and has now become an exercise ball.

The ball Fitness is probably the most versatile exercise aid available. In contrast to exercise on a flat surface the gym ball actually strengthens the core muscles without even realizing it!

The core muscles include the abdomen and back muscles. Strengthening these may help in many different areas. Those who suffer from low back pain will find help to relieve pain. Pregnant women find that the ball not only helps relieve your back problems, but in aid of the face in the labor and delivery. Most people have a bad posture, gym ball helps to improve this. Persons wishing to lose weight or get in shape will have an excellent basis to start from.

Personally, I can not think of a better way to lose weight and get as that with a gym ball, and they € ™ re FUN!
