"I know I need exercise, but I do not have time."

Sound familiar?

This is the number one reason given for not exercise: a lack of time. But like so many other reasons "for not doing the things you know you should do to improve their lives and health, it is still another excuse.

The truth is, you find time for the things you want to find time for. Whether a television favorite football game of a child or a dance recital, or join friends or relatives if important to you somehow manage to squeeze in.

Why not give your health and welfare of the same level of importance? Once you have made exercise a top priority, you'll be amazed how easy it is to fit a workout in a busy schedule.

Here are some tips to get you started.

1. Put it on the calendar. Schedule your workout time just as you would an appointment with your doctor or a parent meeting at school. Give the same importance as any other event worthy of being included in the schedule or agenda. Make sure is at least three times a week or never see the results you want, and you will end up quitting.

2. Getting up early. Part of the reason why many people fail on regular is because they try to make at least wanted: after putting in a full day at work. Getting up an hour or even half hour before the morning gets your exercise done and how, not to mention the healthy increase in energy that you feel will help you through your day.

3. Buy a home gym or home exercise equipment. There are very effective exercises you can do at home with little more than a set of dumbbells and an adjustable training ball. You will be able to save the time it takes to go to the gym (and the money for membership) and can fit a workout into your busy agenda much easier.

4. Use the weekends to your advantage. It is often easier to find an extra hour on the weekend. As one of their training days, you have less to schedule training sessions during the week.

5. Make full use of your training time by multitasking whenever possible, especially for those times you're walking or on the treadmill. You can read a report or a book reading or listening. You may be surprised by what much you can accomplish.

6. Incorporate the help of others, and delegate responsibilities. If anyone can help at home and help in their training days, let them know that needs your help. A spouse or child can get dinner started, mowing the lawn, or a message for you so you have the time you need for your workout done.

7. Finally, if you do not know how it is possible to squeeze one more minute in their day to devote to exercise, at least include them in their daily activities. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, walk down the aisle to deliver a message instead of sending email, park farther away and walk to the office or during lunchtime. Any activity is better than nothing.
